Reading material

After reading and loving a few Haruki Murakami books, and knowing that Murakami has translated works by F. Scott Fitzgerald into Japanese (amongst others) I've been meaning to check out FSG's work. I haven't read (or seen any adaptions) of The Great Gatsby but it may be next on my list. Instead, I am slowly getting through my collection of 'Pocket Penguins' and read the short story, "The Diamond as Big as the Ritz". Grand, loved it. I can see why Murakami may feel some sort kindred approach to story telling.

I'm not getting commisions for talking up Penguin ; though it may seem like it based on the last few posts! Great reads for my train trips to work and home, highly reccomend them as tasters for further reading.
